Sumac is a powerful tool for very specific use-cases eg. membership renewals or ticketing.
What do you dislike?
The pricing plan makes it very difficult for an organization to grow with Sumac. The interface is not intuitive and the process to make changes is overly complicated. It lacks flexiblity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The implementation team was extremely helpful when they were doing the initial setup and customer/technical support teams provide excellent service.
Their documentation for initial setup and support documentation is extremely thorough.
Unfortunately, the product is outdated and it's flexibility needs to be improved so it is able to handle more than just specific use-cases.
We were able to use TechSoup to originally obtain the product at an extremely reasonable price, but the ongoing costs are difficult to support in a small organization.

Selling tickets to events and tracking membership. Prior to using Sumac, the organization was using spreadsheets. Using Sumac means there is no data duplication and everyone in the organization knows exactly where to find the most up to date/accurate information..
