Advanced user of SpeedTree for GamesI love the ability to procedurally generate unique foliage within a given species to give my scenes that extra hint of realism. The speed with which you can make tweaks and build custom hero prop foliage is game-changing.
Speedtree can be a bit glitchy at times when it's trying to figure out the kinematics of complex bends and can take quite a lot of tweaking to get the look you want. That isn't to say that hand sculpting the same tree in ZBrush would be faster, not by any measure but it can be frustrating.
Use speedtree in conjunction with megascans for photorealistic results.
Speed tree allows my studio to populate our scenes with varied and unique foliage from grass to Giant mythical world trees. All while keeping production schedules and budget in place.
