Areas of improvement for SoftwareSuggest
What do you like best?
SoftwareSuggest is aiming to bring more visibility for software vendors and service providers. This is similar to what G2, Gartner, Trust Radius are doing. However, the focus seems to be help medium and small scale vendors as well.
What do you dislike?
1. SoftwareSuggest portal is missing some essentials like a reviewer's dashboard.
2. And when you expect to see the reviews by tapping on a vendor's name, you get redirected to the service provider's website instead of reviews section.
3. User experience needs to improve. For instance - the design is not inituitive and you will notice spelling mistakes in the questionnaire such as "Implimentation"
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SoftwareSuggest needs refinement on the way they gather reviews, aggregate them for the market etc. Using it in conjunction with other similar platforms may be ideal.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
For startups and small-scale companies willing to invest in software, value of money and low initial costs are critical. SoftwareSuggest is helping vendors gain the visibility and for buyers to make an informed decision.
We will also notice that majority of vendors on SoftwareSuggest are from certain Geos. This may or may not be a business strategy. However for a buyer, having a global pool of vendors to choose from would be better.
