Advanced user of Shift4 PaymentsAllows for real-time electronic payment authorization and reporting. It is easy to control and a very flexible system which is a wonderful feature. I love the web-based capabilities which are nice to be able to access data from an alternate location (home office). So far it is a very secure network which is always important when handling so much personal information of our customers. The reports available are easy to use, easy to read and print well. The process is very fast / the program works quickly.
Pricing is very unclear unless you are already using the program. I think it is comparable to other software out there but it is hard to tell depending on what you are utilizing it for. I do wish we could access more than 24 months of past data... it is only necessary around tax time so far but sometimes a pain when we need to view old data. Customer service is not that great when we have needed assistance. In the past they are not very helpful and then do not get back to you with a solution. Hold times are pretty long which is never a good thing.
Do your research... this program is not for every business.
I enjoy the instant information that is available when processing payments. It allows for easy audits and tracking of data. Being able to access data right away is the most important thing for us. It assists us in knowing what our cash / income is on a daily, weekly, monthly, etc basis.
