What do you like best?
It automates the mapping of all Configuration Item to Asset and easy to identify the lifecycle of the Software. It also provides the Software Information for renewal or to retire which saves the cost of the Organization. It also provides several workflows regarding software management for the Asset lifecycle which brings value to the customer. It provides an application catalog to empower end-users to access the software licenses they required and also provides the automated workflows for the provision and de-provision licenses for end-users.
What do you dislike?
None. I didn't see any drawback in the SAM. Customization will create a problem for software management for future upgrades.

Yes, I would like to recommend, to have a separate plugin for the Software Asset tracking which would bring value to the organization and also saves the cost. ServiceNow also provides the dashboard to view the health of the Configuration Item and provides the relationship with the hardware. Software inventory for SaaS software and manage software lifecycle from deployment to retirement was impressive. It manages vendor renewals, invoices, and compliance information in a ServiceNow centralized repository. We can configure the custom alerts based on business, contractual, and compliance rules for the Software Asset Management Team.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Previously, it was challenging to manage all Software associated with the Hardware. It becomes possible to track all Software associated with the hardware. Also, the maintenance of the Configuration Item for Organization will be a piece of cake.ServiceNow Asset Management Plugin also provides the dashboard to view the health of the Configuration Item and provides the relationship with the hardware. This will resolve your all issue related to Incident, Problem, and Change Management which in turn reduces the customization for the Relationship and reduces the manual efforts for the Asset Management Team.
