AWS License Manager makes it easier to manage licenses in AWS and on-premises servers from software vendors such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, and IBM. AWS License Manager lets administrators create customized licensing rules that emulate the terms of their licensing agreements, and then enforces these rules when an instance of EC2 gets launched.

Advanced user of AWS License ManagerThe best part is tracking the usage of the license which helps in understanding what is required and what is not, which in turn helped in cost reduction and elimination of unwanted licenses and resources. The second part is where we were able to track all our license expiry dates.
Nothing at all. The only thing is the initial leg work required to set up & configure, but that is just a one-time task.
Once you choose it, the initial setup will take a lot of time, but that will help in the longer run. this will for sure make life simpler for all the operations people.
We were able to consolidate all our licenses in one place which helped us to always be on top of them. We were also able to track the usage and who owned what licenses and their expiry dates. Tracking & communication became easier once this was setup.
