SeekFast is a Game-Changer
What do you like best?
I like the sheer speed for searching hundreds of Microsoft Word files for a string of characters without indexing. Then it has an easy click to go view the find without opening the Word program and then using Word's search feature. It enables me to search over 14,000 index cards of information in seconds. I have downloaded and often bought programs that promised to search my word processing files with the same speed as my old DOS-based program did, but none of them worked. I always had to go open my word processor one a string of characters was found and then do a search withing the filed I opened. With SeekFast, the string of characters is found in seconds, in every location in the folder, and with one click I can view the particular file, scroll until I can see the title, and pull the hard copy from the drawers around my work station. It was inexpense to purchase the full program and the support at SeekFast has been quick, professional, and solved any questions I had about how best to use it.
What do you dislike?
There is NOTHING I dislike about this program. I use it every week and multiple times a week. It was the culmination of regular searches for a search engine that does what it does. I had been looking ever since Windows replaced the DOS platform. I had a DOS program that worked beautifully, but as Windows appeared with its more complicated program language, the DOS program became ineffective. SeekFast was the culmination of a 10-year search for a program that does exactly what it does.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
SeekFast enabled me to search a folder with dozens of subfolders and hundreds of Microsoft Word files without having to index them or take the time to enter all tthose Word files into some database program. I can quickly find the reference I need and get to my index card drawers and pull the card I want out of the 14,000 or so I have in hard copy.
