Great software, great support
What do you like best?
It works. As long as you remember just a few details about a long-lost file, you can find it. I have been able to find stuff from literally 20 years ago with X1 Search. I literally use it every day. The pathetic indexing system of Windows 10 is totally inadequate by comparison.
What do you dislike?
Nothing to dislike, really - I've had a few bug problems here and there, always quickly resolved by contacting tech support (at no cost).
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I'm an academic and I maintain a huge library of articles and books in digital form on my hard drive. X1 helps me instantly solve those "now where did I read that?" problems. I can also answer the question, "Which documents on this subject have I saved since date X?" And of course many other things.
