Advanced user of Recovery Toolbox Online Repair ServiceI spent a whole day working on a paper for grad school and when I went to open it later, i got a notification in word saying it couldn't be opened because there was unreadable text. I finally got it opened in notepad and it was just a bunch of gibberish numbers and symbols. I tried EVERYTHING... the microsoft help chat, 3 different free recovery softwares, nothing worked. Then i found the online recovery tool from recovery toolbox. I was able to simply upload my paper to their website and they had it fixed within minutes. They even send you a preview of what the document looks like so you know they actually fixed it. Then they emailed me the real copy and, wow. They seriously saved my a**. Best $10 i ever spent!

I would definitely recommend seeing if they can fix your word document before trying the zillions of other methods. It's a huge time saver and totally worth the ten bucks.
please see above review. it is so easy to use for word documents. you can just upload to their website and they email you the fixed document instead of having to download their software.
