What do you like best?

Vissim is a very comprehensive microsimulator with facilities to simulate both vehicles and pedestrian and on road and off road ( stations) situations. It is excellent tool for designers of transport facilities

What do you dislike?

It is bit expensive and have lesser behaviour parameters for Indian /asian traffic conditions which makes it bit tricky

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Excellent software compared to other similar ones. Very dynamic in terms of upgrades and integration with new requirements. Strongly recommend go for it if you can afford.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using it for identification of benefits of facilties like flyovers in terms of delay reduction. Also using for designing adequate capacity /spaces within rail terminals for pedestrian movements, turnstiles planning, escalators capacity assessment and circulation and entry/exit planning & developing station evacuation plans .
