Popplet

What do you like best?

Popplet is easy to use because you can follow the step by step directions. If you need to, you can go back and forth through the steps. I like that popplet is student friendly and the students can choose their own topic to create an organizer for. Also, popplet is great for students that have troubles with brainstorming ideas for writing. If students have log in information, they will be able to save their work and go back to complete their organizer the next time they come to the computer lab.

What do you dislike?

You can't change the title of each popple with the free account. I twould be nice if the free account allowed students to change the title of each popple instead of it saying "name" on all of the popples. If they could change the name, it would help the students to organize their graphic organizer better.

Popplet is a great tool for elementary students to show what they know or what they learned.

I am a computer lab teacher and I have demonstrated how to use Popplet in my classroom. The students can use this to create brainstorming webs after reading about a topic. I have realized that the students can easily create a Popplet organizer because the steps are easy to follow. The students can take pictures to add to their popplet organizer. When the students create the graphic organizer they will be able to type a report about their topic using the graphic organize. I have realized that popplet is helpful for students that have a hard time with the writing steps. This organizer helps them to organize their ideas before writing the paragraphs.
