What do you like best?

PlanetPress Connect's designer is based on Html, CSS and Javascript. Making your documents looking good for print, mail or even portals (dynamic html files) using the same parts of data can be done. Because of CSS the documents can be made responsive, but you have to got knowledge about CSS.

The basics of the Designer can be teached in 2 days, but after the training, you have to keep working with it to get familiair with the tool. It's drag and drop, but if you go a bit further, you have to do more advanced work.

At the moment the automation layer is a bit out dated. The automation layer is 32-bits and uses old components. Currently Objectif Lune is working on a cloud solution, but is not released yet.

What do you dislike?

Lot's of customers implement PlanetPress themselves, but create a messed up solution because the missing knowledge of how to build processes in PlanetPress Connect.

The system is like a legobox where you can build your solution. This is both good and bad. But there are no best practises to compare your build.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Contact a company that implemenrs and sells PlanetPress Connect and you should confirm that they understand your challenges, instead of implement your request. So look behind the pretty sales persons face.
