Works well but not very user friendly

What do you like best?

It's safe and reliable. Quite easy to log in and find passwords IF you have these password already shared with you. It generates really complex passwords that would be hard to guess which adds up to the reliability of the platform.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that it's difficult to find out about the platforms you don't have shared with you, however, you'd actually benefit from getting the passwords to be able to use those platforms for your work. Also, it often happens that administrators don't share some platforms with you that you actually need (e.g. processes were not updated or your role changed) and then it's a hustle to get the passwords you need shared with you - you need to contact administrators directly and wait.... which is definitely not the best user experience. I feel Passpack should work on collaboration features - for users to be able to find platforms that are not shared with them and then request for passwords with a single click. This would make the overall experience much better. I believe that these UX issues may be one of the reasons that, even though we use Passpack throughout the entire company, quite a lot of employees actually don't log in to their Passpack accounts and rely on other colleagues to help with passwords.

I also noticed that Passpack didn't change at all in the last 4 years which may signal that the company is stagnating and fails to innovate and improve on the UI & UX.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Seriously consider all options in the market. Passpack is ok but they lag behind in terms of user experience for collaboration (read my review). They're also stagnating and not innovating or improving their UI or UX for years... which is not a very good sign. However, it kinda does the job so I wouldn't say that you shouldn't use this software. It's an option for sure.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Password storage and sharing, secure password generation
