Advanced user of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Virtual Machine Compute ClassicWe are able to quickly and economically deploy our application using compute classic. We received excellent technical support. The system is reliable and simple to administer. The maintenance is performed by Oracle and the maintenance windows do not result in much downtime.
The downside of compute classic is that they have changed the pricing model to universal credits and it's not easy to avoid overages if you don't set up your limits correctly. Also compute classic is now being replaced with a different architecture and we will need to move our applications to the new infrastructure.
The Oracle cloud infrastructure allows us to spin up applications quickly and we don't need to involve multiple teams to set up a new application. Our users can quickly see new features and benefits of new application features. It's also cost effective as long as you stay within the resource limits.
