Mosaic is about trial and error
What do you like best?
We liked the idea that progress on different projects would be streamlined in one place. It is a very good looking database and the ease of use is exceptional.
What do you dislike?
This program just did not work for us. It could have been that we are creatures of habit and could not stick to the idea of making sure we were tracking our progress in Mosaic. For the ones that were able to do so, it was easy. Everyone is busy, so tracking certain ones down for information, during COVID was nearly impossible. Being able to pull up Mosaic and take a look was a lifesaver. BUT for the majority of us who want to stick to email tracking, it did not work. We still found ourselves reaching out to each other, email chains, phone calls, and etc. SO, for us this did not save any time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think that the biggest thing is to make sure when going live to make Mosaic the only other option for reporting when started. This allows for users to get in the habit of utilizing this rather than relying on the older methods used previously. We, in our relatively small college are creatures of habit.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We solved very few issues, user error of course. However, with longer use, I am sure that we would have been able to fully implement this with everyone to have progress all in one place. I really liked the concept of that.
