Modento is a life saver!!
What do you like best?
Since converting to a "curbside check-in" model due to COVID, the ability to send text messages to communicate with our patients has been invaluable. We also LOVE the paperless patient forms and the constant updates that Modento rolls out EVERY MONTH! With the help of Modento, we have been able to implement new systems to streamline our patient flow from check-in, to treatment planning, to check-out. We love the text to pay feature as well which has helped minimize the amount of statements that need to be printed and mailed out, thus actually SAVING us time and money. Their tech support is also the best we've dealt with over the number of practice management software systems we have used over the years.
What do you dislike?
The T-Mobile issue is a big one. If that could get fixed somehow, that would be super helpful. It would also be helpful to be able to select which cell number to text without having to change the guarantor within our PM software. Being a pediatric practice, it's not uncommon for a different parent to bring the child in so it would be nice to have the option to select which phone number we are sending links for paperwork, consents, etc. to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be open to the differences between Modento and other patient communications platforms. Modento is extremely user friendly (even my completely "non-techie" employees can use it) and the support is phenomenal. Don't be afraid to use it! They are there to help and they do just that, fast and efficiently!
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We have solved the issue of going paperless and finding a system that works for our busy pediatric dental practice. We have switched our merchant services accounts as well since trying out and loving the APEX text to pay feature and the automatic integration into our PMS is so much more efficient. With all of the new restrictions due to COVID, Modento has been so helpful with patient flow. We are able to get our parents all of the information they need while keeping the flow of people in our office to a minimum.
