Advanced user of ManageEngine Patch Manager PlusI like that it is straightforward to set up automatic testing, approval, and deployment of patches. I also like the feather of deploying deployment servers at our remote locations so all on-site computers have a central repository to patch from. This saves bandwidth for our company, which has been an ongoing issue.
The one issue I had with deployment was that the KB article that listed out all the sites required to white list in my proxy was not accurate. I had to update my proxy after I found failed downloads.
Please take advantage of the free trial they offer. This allowed us to completely set up the environment and verify it met our requirements.
Sending all users home during the pandemic saturated our network the first month all users attempted to apply patches as they all got updates from our internal WSUS server. Deploying Patch Manager allowed us to direct each client to download the patches directly from the vendor and save bandwidth on our local network.
