Mageia new to market review

What do you like best?

Good collection of tools, user friendly enhancement & graphics driver support.

It's secure as it is Linux based.

Most attractive feature is it's free to use for everyone who has been thinking of a new platform to use.

During installation it removes unused modules to save space.

It has its own network and you can connect wireless or wired connection to it.

It supports AppStream. Welcome window is very informational about the whole system use. It has latest KDE. Some of its stuffs are based on Mandriva and those are a good.

It's a full fledged distro which works well as long as you use the GUI tool.it has good wifi setup.

What do you dislike?

Upgrading package using source is time consuming.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Can give it a try as it's still new. As this an open source so no burden of buying it and you can all have a chance to use a linex based new platform.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's stable, clean and bug free.

Saves lot of time and is secured.

Able to drive and use a new linux platform and that to free of cost.

No burden of buying it.

It's absolutely stunning to use from enduser standpoint. It's smooth and can run both KDE and Gnome and can switch between them. It's robust and uses two packet managers urpm and dnf. Urpmi is easy to remember but has not been necessary as everything can be done graphically, installation, installation, and a wide range of desktop environment and documentation.
