iTerm2

What do you like best?

iTerm2 is my goto terminal. This is the first thing I install while setting up my new computer.

The terminal is very lightweight, runs natively, supports a multi-tab layout, split-screen layout, or both.

The kind of settings it provides is limitless. You can really customize it for your liking.

The best features I like are:

- Natural text editing keyboard scheme.

- Keyboard shortcuts

- Split-screen and window management

- Color scheme customizations

What do you dislike?

iTerm2 is almost perfect and there is almost nothing I dislike.

There could be a slight improvement in performance when a lot of sessions are open. Other than that, iTerm2 is best.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Leave the default terminal. Just go for iTerm2.

iTerm2 helps me daily with my development flows. Be it running apps, servers, local development tools, package managers like brew, iTerm does it all.
