Informatica API Management

What do you like best?

Perhaps the only upside to informatica IICS and the API Management component is ease of use. You can quickly find APIs then review and manage them.

What do you dislike?

API Management lacks capabilities. For example, standard API proxy endpoints are missing, as well as the ability to build out standard RESTFUL endpoints that use an explicit path or vanity domain. Security, load balancing, and many other features expected in an enterprise iPaaS product are non-existent.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our team has solved some medium level enterprise orchestrations between many SaaS systems, however, the level required to build compex orchestrations that combine application and data integration is beyond the capabilities of Informatica IICS and API Manager is lacking comprehensive security capabilities as well.
