What do you like best?
Easy to use for student side and teacher side. It reads to the student as well as shows a very thorough tutorial before the assessment begins. I like how it keeps track of where they are in the assessment, so you know how much they have completed or need to finish.
What do you dislike?
I do not like the brain breaks. Often the kids get stuck here and may race to the break to play the game.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
iReady is a great tool for teachers to create a base for their students learning and use it to monitor student growth. It offers lots of resources within the program to help move students up. It creates some awesome reports for narrowing down areas of weakness and areas of strength. It is definitely the be all end all of assessments, but it is super easy to use on the parent, teacher, and student side. The students love the graphics and teachers love the reports.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Iready assessment allows us to gain an starting point for our students and monitor their growth throughout the year. It is generally a very similar assessment and the platform is easy to use and easy to score.
