Simple integrated 401(k) solution
What do you like best?
We really enjoy the automated integration Human Interest has with Rippling's HR management platform. It auto-manages our employee onboarding and eligibility rules. It auto-integrates with our payroll provider, updating payroll deductions automatically. It was also largely customizable from a plan design prospective.
What do you dislike?
We didn't have the most excellent onboarding experience. I reached out to my onboarding agent numerous times (without response) before completing our onboarding and enrollment process. Once he finished our setup, we learned that the plan had not been configured correctly according to our wishes or executed contracts. After some time, we were able to resolve the issues with our vesting schedule. There were hidden cancellation fees in the onboarding documentation that I noticed and had reviewed. Support staff is not always the quickest to respond.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're using Human Interest, ask LOTS of questions. Read every document proposed to you as part of your onboarding. There are hidden fees in the paperwork that can be avoided if you consult your onboarding partner. There are also other incentives that are often available to prospective new users, including a free credit to apply toward partner software.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
A customizable 401(k) solution that incentivized our employees while also protecting the company through unique vesting options. We've also been able to limit our manual interaction with the tool which allows for minimal margin for error, ease of implementation and administration, and flexibility of administrative time spent. It allows us to attract, retain, and incentivize top tier talent without having the burden of something very administrative-heavy.
