Great Tool for Tracking Software Spend and Managing Contracts
What do you like best?
G2 Track is very easy to use. It provides great insight into software spend and is visually easy on the eyes. It can even keep track of non-software items, which is great for general budget tracking, but you may not be able to get as much insight out of the system as you do with the software. The contract management system is simple to set up and it even emails you reminders of when contract renewal dates are approaching. The sentiment hub is also useful in sending simple product surveys out to your employees to get their opinions on the software they use (or don't use). The compliance hub is also an added bonus for keeping track of security and privacy documents for all your vendors. The onboarding team was wonderful and made the process painless.
What do you dislike?
G2 Track is a great system that needs only a few enhancements and tweaks. It would be nice to send out sentiment surveys about one product versus every product we've loaded into the system. Also, product categories need to be expanded to include privacy and security software options. And lastly, although the utilization data pulled in from integrations like Okta and Duo is insightful, it would be nice if the product could also track licensing information. Knowing who is using what is essential, but if someone else wants to use that specific software, the system cannot currently tell me if I have enough licenses or need to buy more (or reclaim them from someone who isn't utilizing the product all that much). Other than that, I wouldn't change anything!
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We now have some more granular information about our software spend. Keeping on top of our budget is easier with the visual nature of the product. Our contacts are neat and organized. We can even get a headstart on renewals thanks to renewal alerts. The compliance hub is also helping us expand our vendor management practices.
