Advanced user of FortiGate IPSSignature database is really advanced and it runs smoothly. The false positive rate is almost zero. That's why I use it with confidence.
The IPS module is useful in my opinion and it will definitely be better to develop and use it on a separate appliance.
The IPS module is open as a module on the Internet Firewall we currently use. In the policies we open our applications to the internet, we always assign the IPS profile we make for ourselves.
