Firefly Reservations is an easy to use reservation management web application for campgrounds and RV parks. Quickly start accepting online reservations, manage those reservations, send automated emails to keep your guests informed, and automate payments with recurring and scheduled payments. The guest portal allows guests to view and manage their reservation, make payments, update their payment method, and view payment history. The Kiosk allows guests to check in, make a reservation, or pay for a past stay from a unmanned kiosk in you office.

So easy to set up, makes every day easy

What do you like best?

First, I like how easy it was to set up. So many other reservation systems charge a big setup fee and take days to set up which i don't get. But I was able to get up and running pretty quickly. One of my favorite things about firefly is getting an email alert at 9pm telling me a new reservation was made, and I didn't have to do anything! When people do call though, I pull up the reservation grid and I can see instantly when I have spots open. But my favorite thing of all, is how easy it is to record utilities. We charge for electricity at the first of each month. We send an alert to all the guest telling them how much their card will be charged, and then a day or two later I charge the cards. This used to take hours with our old system (Resnexus). It took probably 30 mouse clicks PER UNIT to do this. And I would have to come back and remember to charge the cards a few days later. With firefly, I do all this on 1 page and takes at the most 2 minutes, with just a couple clicks per unit. On that one page, I record all electricity readings, schedule the payment, and schedule the payment notification they get a day or 2 earlier. It saves me so much hassle every month. Not only that, but I used to have a calendar I kept to remember when to charge our monthly guests. Firefly does this all automatically now too, so I can just sit back and watch the machine hum!

What do you dislike?

I wish there were more reports, but the developer told me they were putting more out soon. Another thing is an interactive map guests could look at to see what spaces are available, but that feature is coming soon too they say.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Just do it. I am a big time researcher. I made a spreadsheet of all my options. All the other options were either: 1. Expensive monthly price and/or steep setup fee 2. Old, outdated, clunky, buggy, hard to figure out 3. Charged per reservation fee which I did NOT want.. that can add up fast. I'd rather know my monthly price is set. Firefly was one of the last ones I found, and I am glad I did. They are fairly new so that is probably why. Firefly makes the setup easy and fast, and their interface is just so dead simple, I have no problems finding what I am looking for.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

TIME! I save so much time now. It was easy to set up, and even easier to use. I just hated having the calendar constantly remind me go charge this person, go send that email etc, but now all that does while I sleep so I couldn't be happier.
