Advanced user of FICO Xpress SolverThe software is very useful. It can be use to solve any optimization model. It allows to change many different settings through some special commands or call-back functions. It can be easily integrated with excel and csv files to input and output data. It can also easily be run through the prompt.
The software is not really time efficient. Furthermore some options to look at the B&B solver are not user friendly.
Consider carefully how to implement it and the costs-benefits trade offs.
Problems related with Logistics, Industrial plants, and supply Chain. Other colleagues of mine use this software to solve financial, inventory, and scheduling problems. Of course, all these problems are solved under the optimization point of view.
