Great tool, even better people.

What do you like best?

Emotive is everything you need in an SMS tool, from great integrations (like Klaviyo, Gorgias, and Shopify) to pretty good segmentation capabilities. One of the main reasons we went with Emotive over another tool, like Attentive, was their really seamless two-way communication options, in addition to allowing us to use a long code (aka a normal phone number) versus a short code (aka something like 30303), which can seem really impersonal. Having that personal touch was really, really important for us.

I also can't stress enough how much their team has helped me build, analyze, and optimize flows like post order drips and VIP list opt ins. If I ever have trouble with anything, they are always willing to hop on the phone and help me out. I really feel like the Emotive team is part of our team and there is a true partnership there.

Also, their new Klaviyo list / segment integration is game changing. Absolutely game changing, and really improves the issues I was having with the build in segmentation in Emotive.

What do you dislike?

I wouldn't say I "dislike" anything in particular, just some things that can be improved. For segmentation, would love if there was a way to time box some behaviors like added to cart, abandoned check out, etc. Would also like more personalization options for broadcasts, right now, there is just the option to add in first name, but I know on their roadmap they are working on more options.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Emotive was key in helping us set up an Early Access VIP list that we use to promote each product launch for our company. We have 2 - 3 launches a month, so it's critical that we maintain excitement, especially with our die-hard fans. This VIP list has a 4x CVR and 3x CTR than our normal broadcasts that we send. This VIP list has become a critical part of our launch strategy and has really made an impact in incremental revenue generated from SMS.
