What do you like best?

Great 68 landmark face model for use in opencv And free too, making it accessible to indie and smaller projects without proprietary face tracking budgets

What do you dislike?

No complaints - afaik the repo is maintained by this one guy. Being often a solo programmer, I feel that he's done a good job that also opens up a great resource to the community

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Dlib has been essential in many faced.io products as well as our TechCrunch Hackathon Grand Prize project from 2018 faceStylr. The 68 face landmarks are used in both opencv pose tracking and also for face masks.

In the screenshot below, I show an experimental musical instrument called FaceHarp where the 14 points (minus endpoints) on the jaws are mapped to octave + 2 on both sides OpenCv Unity iOS using Dlib
