The software is getting better, but it is no longer free

What do you like best?

It was free. Often times features did not work correctly but they would do an update that usually got the broken feature(s) functioning again.

Remote access to PC's.

Windows based patching.

Easy management for remote employee devices.

UPDATE 3-5-2020 - They have now allowed for users to continue their free version for up to 50 endpoints after community and user backlash.

What do you dislike?

The software has been promoted as being 'free forever' for years, they have now reneged on their word and have given most people (current users) less than 2 months to start paying or have to find another solution.

Lack of ability to turn off Apple management, daily alerts to setup a certificate for Apple use.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

While the software is maturing and getting better, the lack of ethics in Comodo's decision to drop their free offering and force a paid model onto the industry with a 2 month lead time during such a major event as the wind down of MS Windows 7 and Server 2008 official support when most IT professionals are extremely busy with other projects could very well indicate how Comodo does and/or will choose to do business in the future.

Doing business with a company that does not keep their word and is willing to renege on it's promise to existing customers really is a gamble and I would suggest (as any good business practice) to get everything in writing so you have some form of legal recourse in the event that they break their contract.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Complete endpoint monitoring, patch management and remote access both on and of the LAN. Works well for remote employees such as outside sales.
