Good resource for coding basics

What do you like best?

They have few different courses available (HTML/CSS, Javascript, Python, etc.) with video lessons and reference guides to use as resources throughout. The lessons are broken down into manageable modules. It's quick and easy to learn the basics, and the interface allows you to track your progress, motivating you to push through the course even if you only have smaller chunks of time available. They break down the concepts well and each lesson builds well upon previous ones. They also have lessons dedicated to fixing code and finding bugs which was a useful skill to work on.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see them go more in depth with the content. The site is set up well and could easily lend itself to more advanced learning, but at present, targets very foundational concepts. Additionally, there were a few bugs within the lessons themselves, in that some of the lessons did not compile properly. The support team was friendly and helpful but took a while to respond. The quizzes should also tell you the correct answers, or have a way to check what the answers were so they can be used as a reference as well as a checkpoint. They were not always easy to follow or input. The interface itself sometimes had issues depending on the browser used.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's worth a try, for sure. The courses are fun and highly accessible, but are geared toward beginners. If you have any previous coding experience, the level of the courses will more than likely be too low for you.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's a nice way to gain coding experience. Again, this is really a focus on the basics, but it does set you up to understand the concepts behind more complicated coding in the future.
