What do you like best?

I loved how I could add different cloud options, Azure, Amazon, and Google as well as different commitments.

What do you dislike?

There were a couple of screens that I didn't find useful, but they are probably beneficial to more hierarchical organisations that need to pass the decision up the chain. They contain some charts and summaries that help explain the outcome to execs who may not be so technical.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are migrating from on-prem to the cloud, this is a great way to check costs of different providers. I tried it with a test environment first as this was small enough to use the free account on Cloud Compare. Once I did that, it was easy to show the return on investment to secure a license. The product is really well progressed for VMs and I'm looking forward to features being added for other features such as PaaS and Serverless as well as IaaS.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Moving virtual machines into the cloud and making sure the costs are contained once they are there. Compared to the default cloud option we had considered, Cloud Compare found a way to save 40% of the annual cost with a 100% match on our server specifications.
