Cerner CareAware

What do you like best?

I find using cerner care aware very convenient and empowering as I can be connected to seeing all aspects of patient management and can ultimately utilize all those pieces of knowledge to best understand my patients while picture and provide the best care for them.

What do you dislike?

Since this is the main system my hospital went with, I did not enjoy the long drawn out training sessions that we had about the software. I think it would have been more beneficial to let people have the option to figure things out and provide a manual. But I also understand for many older providers, the training was necessary because they would be very lost

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving the problems of fragmented patient information. My hospital is quite old and so we have multiple EMRs running at the same time, one for inpatient, one for nurses, and one for intra- and pre-op. This fragmentation is being fused and joined with Cerner which makes everything in one place and is much more convenient.
