Advanced user of Autodesk Inventor Tolerance AnalysisIts really good for beginners in Mechanical Design field. Because it helps to implement all Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing concepts to a virtual platform. By using it, anyone can check or calculate effect of given tolerances to any kind of geometrical shape. It also helps to check the worst cases for parts and root sum square for all given dimensions. Its very easy to compare all results with different stack up methods with the help of Inventor's Tolerance analysis. It shows every parts role in specific stack up. By using it we can plot all the results within a loop of given dimension in graphical form. Another important thing is it have proper interface where we can give specific inputs like default tolerances, analysis type or method with there capability values or sigma values, which makes that stickup easier.
Nothing to dislike, everything is good. Only one thing is, user must know all basic concepts of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing with Dimensional variation analysis and different legacy or classic methods of calculating tolerance stackup.
It depends on the company whether they need precision or not. For quality product every company uses different tools like their own Microsoft excel sheets. But still if sheets are not available, Autodesk help them in better way.
We can determine tolerance values and parts contribution to an assembly. To find gaps between assemblies by applying different tolerances. Which help us to redefine tolerances to create a proper assembly helping saving costs for making prototypes.
