Recommendations to others considering the product:

Best software go for it. You should use autocad as a basic design software as it will be of great acceptance worldwide and will be helpful for you due to best user interface. As far as drafting is concerned this is one of the best software's I came across. Commands are user friendly and easy to use. 3D modeling is not enough satisfactory. This one of the best software to start the design learning for mechanical engineering students. Rest all design software's resembles the basic concepts command icons. It become easy to understand the drawing who are working on production segment. But overall I like the experience working on AutoCAD. It is very good for 2D drafting. I faced some issue in 3D modeling. 2D drafting is great in this software. I thing it is best for drafting. 3D. AutoCAD is used widely in my organization for design and development purposes. It is used to develop drawings for various disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm systems, fire safety, technology, security, etc. It is rarely used to view drawings developed in 3-D view but in some instances comes in handy. AutoCAD is well suited for applications that involve easy and simple floor plan drawings. It can also be used for developing various disciplines in one file. It is not recommended to use AutoCAD for applications that involve intense design drawings and applications where the user needs to design 3-D view.
