Advanced user of AscendanceI use Senior Systems for grading students, and it funtions well. It's easy to create criteria to grade students on, change grades, edit comments, create classes, and any other criteria I might consider while reviewing the product.
The interface is a little aged in appearance; I would say that it could be made more appealing. It's certainly not detrimental, but it is accessible by people outside of the school and might be improved for the sake of looking more polished.
I'm not sure what other options are available, but I have not personally experienced any issues with this product, and have not heard any complaints from colleagues.
We use Ascendence for grading, scheduling, recording contacts for students and communicating with those contacts, and any other needs related to student records. The benefits of this are obvious; all information is organized and stored in one easy-to-access place for both faculty and other users.
