This made time tracking so painless, its almost enjoyable!
What do you like best?
Allocate is great because it does not require your prompting or input in order to track time, it simply allows you to go about your work in whatever flow works for you and then go back and categorize the data it collects when you have some time. Not only does this mean that you don't have to put so much energy into organizing your time around a time tracker, and remember to turn on and off a timer, but there is also a lot of satisfaction from looking back over the course of the day and seeing how you have spent your time. Working for an organization where there is always so much to do we often feel like the days go flying by, Allocate allows us to quantify the work that we are getting done. Our Executive director has been loving seeing the graphs and charts that breakdown how time is being spent, particularly having that data will allow us leverage to obtain more funds both through grants and donors.
What do you dislike?
There was some set up, and it requires an administrator to keep an eye on clients, projects, and tasks staying up to date.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Time tracking is totally easy and does not interrupt workflow. Our Executive Director has loved the ability to quantify our labor so that she can make accurate reports to funders and donors.
