ActiveInbox is for you if:
– Your work is driven from email
(Especially if you’re already working on tasks in Gmail)
– You love Getting Things DoneВ®
(ActiveInbox is heavily influenced by GTDВ®… in fact it used to be called GTDGmail!)
– You want simplicity
(There’s no new tool to learn and maintain… it works where you do, simply turbo-charging standard Gmail – No more duplicating information into a separate task manager.)

The main way I keep myself on task daily

What do you like best?

Most of my tasks originate from email, so why not track them in email as well? I use ActiveInbox to remind myself of things that need follow-up and keep emails out of my inbox. I could not do inbox zero without ActiveInbox.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally it can get a little wonky with buffering, but support is usually really fast if I can't fix it myself. Also, it leaves a lot of extra labels in gmail that are empty, but I just go in and clean them up weekly.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I use ActiveInbox alongside ClickUp to manage my projects--if an email ends up popping up for follow-up and I'm not ready to deal with it, I'll add it as a task in ClickUp. Others that are easy to handle tasks that pop up as ticklers from ActiveInbox I won't necessarily add to ClickUp. It's a good partnership of tools.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have a lot of emails and a lot of tasks. I use it to keep track of due dates or as a tickler date for follow-up. I can keep all emails out of my inbox since they are dated to come back in my view when appropriate.
