What do you like best?

Workday is a software-as-a-platform that runs in the cloud where they have an HCM model that supports a wide range of HR processes where you can purchase "modules" that would tailor your company's needs. Some modules that our company uses are onboarding, talent and perfomance, benefits, learning, absence, expenses, time tracking, and basic compensation. Workday also provides reporting, integrations and has an excellent security architecture that enables our company to be compliant with ISO, SOX, GDPR and internal audits.

What do you dislike?

Workday has delivered many functionalities in the HR space, but some areas need improvement or are unsupported. For these cases, we'd have to reach out to Workday Support only to be told to file a brainstorm in Workday Community. These brainstorms would usually require upvotes from other users and only then it will be up for consideration whether Workday will implement it or not. Some of there brainstorms takes years to get implemented.

Workday is not customizable in terms of user interface. They did launch Workday Extend where you can develop custom workflow or pages but with very limited options.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As per the title, we use Workday to support our HR processes. Workday allows business workflows to be customizable where we can design approvals, attachments, notifications and steps according to busniess requirements. To add to its essential benefit, Workday has a good layer of security architecture to limit access to employees in some conditions as necessary. Workday customers would also enjoy the ease of querying data through custom reports and integrating with other systems.
