Timeline Based Scheduling Software - Decent
What do you like best?
MyNextWeek is most helpful with regards for the adequate timing of hours of team members to ensure that there is no overlap of worker's hours that would be completing the same tasks. The user interface and overall software is relatively easy to use for anyone without the need for tutorials or extensive scheduling software knowledge.
What do you dislike?
My main dislike is that it does not have an iOS or Android platform for people to quickly adjust hours or make minor changes. Instead they will have to sit down at a computer to make those changes if they need. I also do not think the support for the software is the best since it is newer, but this could be quickly improved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My recommendation for possible users is to just test it out for a few months. It has a relatively simple interface that is easy to understand and transition into. I would just test it out for the application that you want, and see if it is the best option compared to industry provided software, Gantt charts, etc.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are using MyNextWeek mainly for scheduling of a project for a small team to ensure that the percentage of every member's time is being used efficiently with respect to how much of their workload is supposed to be associated with the project. It is also being used to keep track of progress of the project.
