What do you like best?
Shiftboard allows us to house over 500 of our workers in one place, and gives them accounts so that they can log in to update their information themselves. This takes the task of keeping profiles up to date off of us. It also allows the workers to apply for shifts and be approved or not, which removes any discrepancy and confusion that used to occur when we used basic email for all of our confirmations. Customer support is speedy and the interface is attractive, as is the app.
What do you dislike?
Though we have paid for a custom solution, we found that some aspects of Shiftboard are not customizable and so we have had to come up with some workarounds. Examples of this would be ability to customize or remove fields for users contact information. The app seems to work well for the end users but less so for admins who have limited functionality for administrative tasks via the app.

They were very helpful in pre-implementation discussion so there is no reason not to contact them and set up a trial

Using Shiftboard allows us to stop sending hundreds or thousands of emails each term, which can become a mess in our inboxes and sometimes get lost in the inboxes of our less tech-savvy workers. Since Shiftboard is online, everyone can log in and see the same things. We waste way less time on data entry and keeping up various spreadsheets, which allows us to spend more time on more important tasks. The rating function is also proving very helpful to see who the best workers are at a glance.
