Advanced user of LexPIAs long as data is input correctly, this software will generate many different legal documents which makes things a lot easier. There is a notes section where I document all important client conversations so anyone who uses the program in my office will be able to see what everyone else is doing on the case.
I don't like that some of the documents have glitches and it is a pain to have to call tech support every time it happens. Also I wish there were more law firm specific documents tailored to the specific requests of these firms. Also, sometimes the software slows my computer down. Finally, it is sometimes a pain to change documents to confirm with ones that are customarily used - you have to call tech support to do that because there are often codes that need to be put into the form.
Make sure the entire staff attends the training and they ask as many questions as they can. Make sure your data entry is kept current because if it isn't, there will be problems. .
It is easier to keep track of case information and have it readily available when needed. Plus it streamlines document preparation and allows us to regulate our calendar. Ir really makes a difference with everyone having access to all file documents and notes at the same time. Another positive is that we can track and retrieve all of the documents that we prepare and send out in order to make it easier to find things when necessary. Additionally, if someone calls and needs the status of a case, all the person has to do is log into the system and the information is readily available without having to contact the person who last worked on the file.
