Dynamic tool with lots of options for automatisation

What do you like best?

Unlike other innovations management tools you can automate all reoccuring tasks like sending E-Mail reminders, changes of an idea from one phase to another or communication with a jury.

This way it is possible to prepare several campaigns in advance and have the peace of mind that the stage-gate process is followed automatically. As an innovation manager you can then concentrate on the task of generating engagement within the innovators which tends to get neglected if too much effort goes into keeping the process going. The automation therefore improves the quality of the campaigns signficantly.

What do you dislike?

With a dynamic tool and automation comes complexity during setup. It takes therefore quite a bit of time in the beginning until everything is working as intended. During this setup time I got a lot of help from my account manager to get all parameters set to my liking.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Before deciding for a Innovation Management Tool you need to have defined an innovation process otherwise the setup might be difficult if you don't know in advance what kind of process you want.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The tool offers an automated login (single sign on) which lowers the barrier for making contributions and handing in ideas.

Within the past year we were able to launch two new products for our customers which started as ideas. We were also able to optimse several internal processes.

We also use the tool as some kind of database for ideas, so that similar ideas get clustered and conclusions from one idea can be applied to similar other ideas.
