Advanced user of DisasterLANDLAN is a very user-friendly intuitive program which supports the emergency management information management goals of my workplace. DLAN's modules have a Microsoft Office-like sense to them which greatly accelerates the use of the program by new staff
The mapping capability presently used within my workplace does not make the best use of the DLAN information datasets.
DLAN and a number of its modules are presently used to assimilate, correlate and fuse information on potential or emergency hazards or incidents within the Province of Alberta. The ability to generate a common operating picture of the incident, hazard-related data, emergency management and emergency social services datasets is a great benefit to conducting operational-level emergency management operations
