Advanced user of GoDaddy Domain AuctionsI have been using GoDaddy for the better part of a decade, and I don't have any major complaints. They definitely make it easy to search for the right URL; they tell you what URLs that are similar are available. Pricing is straightforward and competitive. Customizing your DNS is simple if you want to use Wordpress or another CMS. GoDaddy's website building tool is great for beginners but not as robust as WP. Renewing your domain(s) is easy as well, as is cancelling whenever you're done with them.
It would be great if there were discounts for buying a URL for multiple years at a time or volume discounts for large numbers of domains. I would likely also buy .net, .us, .biz, etc., etc. domains in addition to the .com domains that I usually purchase if there was some sort of incentive to do so. Some of the user interface components on the GoDaddy site itself can be clunky, but the help articles are usually easy to navigate.
We use both Google Domains and GoDaddy to manage URLs, adjust DNS, etc. Both are clean and simple and seem designed for small businesses to use. Sometimes we'll create subdomains which can be easily accomplished as well. If we weren't using GoDaddy, we would be 100% on Google Domains.
