What do you like best?
There were many things we liked:
1. They were very competitively priced.
2. They were very quick! They turned around what we needed far faster than anyone else we spoke with.
3. They were able to clean-up the data and get it into a format that we could us it in no time at all.
4. Their analytics and visualization far surpassed our expectations.
What do you dislike?
Their public website was old, antiquated and difficult to navigate. I understand it has since been updated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are afraid of the cost or level of effort, don't be. Speak with Bowtie first... I think you will be as pleasantly surprised as we were. They are very good at what they do, candid in their recommendations and honest with their recommendations.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We conducted a significant cyber security benchmark study of the banking industry. Working with over 100 banks of all sizes, we collected data on over 490 questions. While the reports were very comprehensive, the data came in every format imaginable (excel, txt, word PDF and etc.). Furthermore, the data was out of order. Getting the data into the system and to a state where we could use was near impossible and resulted in a number of data input errors which initially skewed our results. However, after working with Bowtie, they were able to input and clean-up the data in just hours. That freed-up time for us to work with them on the analytics. They then took our recommendations and came back with the results and visualization (widgets) that far exceeded our expectations. We had spent months up to the point we spoke with Bowtie. After meeting with them, we only spent a couple of days and were able to delight our customers and the benchmark study participants.
