Advanced user of USA SchedulerIt's a great scheduling software. the thing I like best is the number of scheduling requirements/parameters it allows an user to specify. It still gives a schedule which fits perfectly with most people. I've used similar softwares, but most of them are not as good when multiple preferences need to be accommodated. It's also a great resource because it allows for better class sizes, and that almost always benefits students.
As far as I think, it's support and user interface can be improves. Although it's a great software, it sometimes fails to resolve conflicts in demanding schedules. Sometimes, it also messes up timings while trying to keep class sizes in check. That balance is tough to attain, but maybe they can improve a little in that direction.
Use it if your employer pays for it and you don't know of a better scheduler. It's not good if class sizes at your college are small, but tremendously useful if you have lots of students and want better class sizes for students.
I used it to schedule classes for freshmen at Penn State. My employer paid for it, I'm not sure if the software is free or not. The main benefit is that it does a much better job than other similar scheduling softwares.
