Xara Photo and Graphic Designer

What do you like best?

I like Xara for a number of reasons. First, it's low cost for such a powerful program. It is an excellent vector graphics program without a HUGE learning curve. The newest release has some nice features, including an advanced line style library. I have not had a chance to explore all of the features, but I have used it to create several illustrated children's books with great results. My Friend Nort series and My Friend Katie are available on the Walmart website for review. The accuracy of the program in vector graphic's has so many advantages to a raster program. Enlarging an image, the quality remains pure no matter what size. I will be using this product for years.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see more tutorials for specific functions. I have difficulty coloring objects. I believe this is just a learning curve on my end. but I would like to drag and drop a color to fill an area.

Be patient, the end results are worth it.

Without Xara, I would not have been able to create my books. The illustrations and graphics needed to be clean and accurate.
