Advanced user of TurboLaw Time & BillingI originally selected this time and billing software because my Timeslips had crashed and I had had wonderful experiences with Timeslips forms software. I also selected it because I am a Mac based office, and I could use it through the cloud with my Mac devices. If you are a LEAP user and you like LEAP, then you might appreciate this software more than I did.
The quality of their time and billing software was not as good as their legal forms software--ease of use, customization of forms, application of payments, etc. were more difficult than expected (and I am usually pretty self-sufficient with technology!), and the bills did not show retainer details unless you were willing to sacrifice other billing details. I was willing to live with that, until the price started to escalate and the customer service diminished after their merger with LEAP.
I would check out other legal billing software carefully first, and also consider cost. This new owner escalates fees dramatically, every year. If you really want and like LEAP, it may work for you--that is the product that they are pushing and want to sell. Everything else is secondary to them.
As stated above, there were problems with the bill formatting that could not be solved easily; accessing the data was clumsy at best, and difficult to save on the computer. Then the prices started to escalate as much as 60% in one year. When I questioned this, they just tried to talk me into purchasing LEAP, which is not at all what I need. When I decided to switch to another software, that provider could not ever figure out how to transfer the data. I became concerned about whether I would be able to access it after my subscription ended, and I specifically asked the rep (I have the emails), and I was told yes--then I ended the subscription and, guess what? I cannot access my OWN DATA. When I contacted them about this, their only response was that they wanted to charge me more money. I do not think so!
