What do you like best?
I like that with Trail Blazer, I can have any and all information I might need all on one program and at the click of a button. Trail Blazer is understandable and fairly easy to teach to colleagues. Trail Blazer allows for different departments and those working on different projects to form some level of collaboration to streamline our ability to achieve goals and meet time-centered deadlines. Trail Blazer also allows for a lot of data to be stored per file so that the team can get as general or as specific as we want when classifying, arranging, attributing, and, eventually, pulling data to use. I also appreciate how helpful the Trail Blazer staff is. There are very helpful tools online and when I send emails with questions, a representative always responds to me in a timely manner.
What do you dislike?
The downside of using Trail Blazer is that there is a lot of information and it can be overwhelming for those that have never dealt with a program of this sort before. Trail Blazer could also, in my opinion, streamline some of it's functions to make it easier and less time consuming for the user. Trail Blazer is somewhat outdated and it is very easy for data to become jumbled or unorganized if multiple people are all entering different sets. Trail Blazer also has a tendency to slow down when using it for long periods of time, which is not sustainable for staff that use this program for the majority of their 9-5, 7 day a week work time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend looking very closely at what you need and how willing you are to learn a new system. Trail Blazer is worth the small-hiccups I have faced with program as it increases effectiveness and collaboration because everything is so organized. You can absolutely tailor the data collection and other features to suit your needs.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Trail Blazer has allowed my team to communicate and work as efficiently as possible on the day to day. We are able to track progress and identify areas where we can improve all in one place. Everyone can work together to accomplish goals better, which allows us to create a cohesive plan when delegating tasks and starting new projects. Trail Blazer has great features to allow maximum data gathered while also keeping it fairly organized and easy to understand, no matter who is reading.
