What do you like best?

I really appreciate the built-in features for converting text in various ways, and the ability to create your own cleaners with keyboard shortcuts to power through text formatting tasks that would take much longer any other way.

If you copy/paste text from random sources all the time, this is a must-have to eliminate all the junk that lives behind the text. Most business software from the big windows manufacturer suffers from style bloat. Cleaning that stuff out before moving text to another source is mandatory, and TextSoap does it really well. Being able to create cleaners you can save and reuse via a keystroke is the best feature going.

What do you dislike?

I actually don't have anything negative to add. The product works as advertised, and I've never had a need for it to do something I couldn't figure out how to accomplish. I'm not sure how it will handle non-english text.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The tool has some great features out of the box, but its power lies in being able to create your own custom cleaners. Spend the time to understand that process, and you will LOVE this software.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We had to migrate 200 PDF docs to HTML. I was able to build my own cleaners to facilitate that. Instead of spending hours on each document, I was able to get them finished in just minutes a piece. Huge time saver. In addition I use it in a constant battle with Word over bad formatting.
